I had tried for years to lose weight and I had failed every time. Then I tried SlimBrix and for the first time it felt like it was 100% in control.

When I started moving the blocks into my weight loss pile and then occasionally moving some back (after a party where I had eaten or drunk too much), it became all too clear that it was purely down to how much work I wanted to put in to losing weight, as the results would be right in front of me. They weren’t going to be numbers on the scales or an app which sometimes did not mean that much.

I invented this product out of a kind of desperation for something to actually work for me. I have tried lots of fad diets and exercise plans but nothing worked well, in the long run.

I settled on counting calories as being the best method that I could incorporate into my life. But whether doing it in my head or using an app after a while it was too easy to go off track and so even this, was just not working for me. If you lose 1,000 calories, 3 days in a row, that’s a great achievement but you cant really see it on the scales or in the mirror and so it’s just numbers in your head or on an app and I wanted something more than that. I thought that there must be a way to see how these calories relate to body fat and so i started looking at Medical papers online to see what I could find.  Over the course of a couple of days i found out that there could be a way to have blocks made in various sizes, to represent different calorie values and these would represent the size that those calories took up as fat within the body. I thought wow that would be great to have as you could get excited and keen over losing even small amounts like 200 & 300 calories let alone 1,000. I made the first pack myself with wood from a timber merchants and a lot of trial and error to make the wood into the most suitable shapes.. I then used these blocks/brix for my own personnel use. I found them so useful for me to keep my motivation up that I thought they could help other people too.  Instead of sitting and watching TV most evenings, I would find that I would pop down to the gym and burn off 700 calories, or go out and walk a few times around my local park and burn off 400. I started looking into foods that I could eat a lot of(to get a full feeling) but were low in calories . I had never been interested in this sort of thing before but having the blocks that showed my efforts right in front of me in the kitchen, made me really focused.

I was so excited about this new idea, that I had a pack to represent 5kg to be made up professionally and I started to put this kick Starter campaign together, to get the business started.

I hope you like my idea and enjoy using or showing others how useful Slimbrix can be.
